If you are a solo traveler or working as a couple, I have to tell you: Amapas is a total VIBE.
I’ve been working remotely from Puerto Vallarta for quite a while now. I’ve tried the busy coffee shops in the center and the co-working spaces in the hotel zone. But nothing beats the peace of the hills.
Amapas is where the jungle meets the ocean. It’s quiet, it’s lush, and it’s basically a digital nomad’s dream come true.
Most people think you have to choose between a good view and good Wi-Fi. In Amapas, you don’t have to pick!
We’ve set up our rentals to make sure your Zoom calls never drop. There is nothing worse than your screen freezing during a big meeting. Trust me, I’ve been there and it’s the worst!!!!
Why We Love Working from Amapas
The best thing about being a puerto vallarta digital nomad in this neighborhood is the silence.
In the morning, the only thing you hear is the sound of tropical birds. It is so much better than city traffic or loud construction.
I usually start my day on the balcony with a big cup of local Mexican coffee. The air is fresh, and the mountain views are seriously AMAZING.
We make sure our rental properties in puerto vallarta are built for focus. We know you need a real table, a comfortable chair, and a connection that actually works.

The Tech Stuff: Wi-Fi You Can Trust
Let’s get real for a second. If you’re working from your laptop, the internet is everything.
In Puerto Vallarta, the speeds have improved so much lately. Most of our units now have high-speed fiber optic.
I’m talking 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or even more. That’s plenty for video calls, uploading huge files, and streaming your favorite shows at night.
If you want to know more about the technical side, check out our guide on how to Work From Paradise. It covers everything you need to know about staying connected.
We always recommend having a backup, though. I usually keep a Telcel SIM card in my phone just in case.
But honestly? We rarely ever need it. The infrastructure in Amapas is solid.
My Favorite Workspace Setup
I’ve spent hundreds of hours working from different corners of our apartments.
My favorite spot is usually the dining table with a view of the Bay of Banderas. Seeing the blue water while I type makes the workday feel so much shorter.
If you are planning a longer stay, you really want a place that feels like home. We’ve seen people make some big errors when booking long-term.
Take a look at Long-Term Condo Rentals Puerto Vallarta to see how to avoid the common mistakes.
We prioritize bright, airy spaces. Natural light is so important for your mood when you’re working all day!

Taking the Office to the Streets
Sometimes, I need a change of scenery. That’s the beauty of being a nomad!
Amapas is just a short, five-minute walk or a quick Uber ride down into Zona Romántica.
I love heading down to the local cafes for a few hours. There are some incredible spots where the Wi-Fi is fast and the lattes are ice-cold.
The Green Place is a huge favorite for remote workers. It’s vegan, super bright, and everyone there is usually on a laptop too. It feels like a little community!
If you want to see where we’re hanging out today, follow us on Instagram! We post a lot of our favorite local gems there.
Working from a cafe in Old Town gives you that perfect mix of productivity and local culture. You can hear the street vendors and see the vibrant life of PV right outside the window.

The After-Work Reward
This is my favorite part of the lifestyle.
When 5:00 PM hits, I don’t have to commute through a gray city. I just shut my laptop and head outside.
Living in Amapas means you are steps away from the best hiking trails. The paths lead right into the Sierra Madre mountains.
The jungle is so green and full of life. It’s the perfect way to clear your head after a long day of emails.
Or, if I’m feeling lazy, I just walk down to Los Muertos beach for a quick swim. The water is always warm and the vibe is always fun.
Supporting local family businesses makes this experience even better. We love pointing our guests toward the best taco stands and hidden local spots that guidebooks miss.

Is Amapas Right for You?
If you want a loud party right outside your door, Amapas might be too quiet for you.
But if you want to actually get work done and then relax in a beautiful, peaceful setting: this is it.
It is perfect for couples who want their own space or solo travelers who need a focus zone.
We LOVE welcoming people who are making Puerto Vallarta their temporary home. Being a family-run business, we take pride in making sure your stay is perfect.
We greet you personally, we show you how the Wi-Fi works, and we tell you exactly where to get the best pastor tacos nearby.
If you are looking for an authentic local experience with high-speed internet, Amapas is highly recommended!!!!
I can't wait to see you here in paradise.
