We just finished a busy week of managing our properties and helping guests settle in.<\/p>\n

There is no better way for us to reconnect than a long, slow walk on the Malecon.<\/p>\n

We started our walk right as the heat of the day began to fade.<\/p>\n

The Malecon is the heart of the city.<\/p>\n

It is a beautiful beachfront boardwalk that stretches for nearly two kilometers.<\/p>\n

It connects the vibrant energy of Old Town to the northern part of the downtown area.<\/p>\n

For us, it is the ultimate romantic escape.<\/p>\n

No cars. No traffic. Just the sound of the Pacific Ocean crashing against the rocks.<\/p>\n

They climb a massive pole and then swing down in circles by ropes tied to their ankles.<\/p>\n

Watching them against the backdrop of the darkening sky was AMAZING!!<\/p>\n

The music, the traditional costumes, and the bravery of the performers are incredible to see.<\/p>\n

We also passed by street vendors selling traditional sweets and handmade crafts.<\/p>\n

The smell of roasted corn (elote) and cinnamon churros filled the air.<\/p>\n
