I want to share my favorite ways to find zen in our beautiful city. <\/p>\n

No crowds. No noise. Just you and the soul of Mexico.<\/p>\n

The Magic of the Morning Malec\u00f3n<\/h3>\n

My favorite ritual starts at 6:30 AM. <\/p>\n

I grab my sneakers and head to the Malec\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

The boardwalk is almost empty then. <\/p>\n

The air is cool and smells like salt and jasmine. <\/p>\n

I watch the sun crawl over the Sierra Madre mountains. <\/p>\n

The sky turns from deep indigo to a fiery orange in minutes. <\/p>\n

It is the best meditation I have ever found. <\/p>\n

I love walking past the statues and watching the local street sweepers start their day. <\/p>\n

There is a sense of calm that disappears once the shops open. <\/p>\n

I like to sit at a small corner cafe and just watch. <\/p>\n

I see the fruit vendors setting up their colorful displays of mango and papaya. <\/p>\n

I hear the distant sound of a church bell. <\/p>\n

I often spend an hour just journaling. <\/p>\n

Writing down my thoughts while the city wakes up around me is pure bliss. <\/p>\n

It helps me clear the cobwebs from my mind. <\/p>\n

The locals are so friendly and always greet me with a warm "Buenos d\u00edas." <\/p>\n

It makes me feel like I belong here, even if I am just passing through.<\/p>\n

I know many of you aren't just here to sit on the beach. <\/p>\n

Finding the right place to stay is everything for a solo trip. <\/p>\n

You want somewhere that feels safe but also totally private. <\/p>\n

I find a spot between the rocks and just listen to the waves. <\/p>\n

The water is clear and turquoise. <\/p>\n

It is much quieter than the main beaches. <\/p>\n

I often bring a book and spend the whole afternoon there. <\/p>\n

The Sierra Madre mountains offer some of the most beautiful hiking I have ever seen. <\/p>\n

I love the trail that leads up to the Mirador de los Arcos. <\/p>\n

The climb gets your heart pumping, but the reward is worth it. <\/p>\n

You stand at the top and look down at the entire coastline. <\/p>\n

It puts everything into perspective. <\/p>\n

Being surrounded by all that green makes me feel so small in the best way. <\/p>\n

It reminds me that my problems aren't that big. <\/p>\n

Nature has a way of doing that. <\/p>\n

Just remember to bring plenty of water and your camera!<\/p>\n

Safety and Connection<\/h3>\n

I know some people worry about traveling alone. <\/p>\n

But I have always felt incredibly safe here. <\/p>\n

The community in Old Town is very tight-knit. <\/p>\n

We look out for each other. <\/p>\n
