but my love for the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood never fades. <\/p>\n<p>It is the kind of place that feels like the &quot;real&quot; Mexico. <\/p>\n<p>While most people head straight for the bustling crowds of Zona Rom\u00e1ntica, I often find myself walking the other way. <\/p>\n<p>There is a specific kind of magic here in the early morning. <\/p>\n<p>The air is still cool, the sun is just starting to hit the orange and yellow walls of the houses, and the smell of fresh corn tortillas is everywhere. <\/p>\n<p>If you are a solo traveller, this neighborhood is an absolute gem. <\/p>\n<p>It is safe, compact, and full of hidden spots that make you feel like a local rather than a tourist. <\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I decided to take myself on a solo date to soak it all in. <\/p>\n<p>Here is what a perfect morning looks like in 5 de Diciembre.<\/p>\n<h3>The First Sip: Caf\u00e9 Oro Verde<\/h3>\n<p>My morning always starts with a desperate need for caffeine. <\/p>\n<p>I headed straight to Caf\u00e9 Oro Verde. <\/p>\n<p>It is a tiny, unfussy spot that takes coffee very seriously. <\/p>\n<p>They roast their own beans right there, and the smell alone is enough to wake you up. <\/p>\n<p>I ordered a bold espresso and sat on a small stool, watching the neighborhood come to life. <\/p>\n<p>There were no loud groups or screaming children: just me, my coffee, and the sound of the roaster humming in the background. <\/p>\n<p>It was bliss. <\/p>\n<p>The quality of the brew is honestly unparalleled in this part of town. <\/p>\n<p>If you are a coffee lover, this place steep, cobblestone streets. <\/p>\n<p>It is a great workout, but best of all, the views get better with every step. <\/p>\n<p>I passed small grocery stores where owners were sweeping their doorsteps and saying &quot;buenos d\u00edas&quot; to everyone who walked by. <\/p>\n<p>I love that about this area. <\/p>\n<p>It is a true family-run neighborhood where everyone knows each other. were perfectly ripe and glowing under the morning sun. <\/p>\n<p>I bought a bag of sliced fruit for later and kept moving toward the ocean.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" Treat at Shekinah<\/h3>\n<p>You cannot walk through 5 de Diciembre without stopping at Shekinah Caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n<p>This place has such a homey, welcoming feel. <\/p>\n<p>I went in specifically for their famous cinnamon rolls. <\/p>\n<p>They are warm, sticky, and probably the best in the entire city. <\/p>\n<p>As a solo traveler, I find it so easy to just grab a seat by the window and enjoy a quiet moment. <\/p>\n<p>Nobody rushes you here. <\/p>\n<p>It is the perfect spot to plan your day or just people-watch. <\/p>\n<p>If you want to know more about why this city is so great for people down to Playa Camarones. <\/p>\n<p>This is the beach that runs along the edge of 5 de Diciembre. <\/p>\n<p>In the morning, it is incredibly peaceful. <\/p>\n<p>There are no beach clubs blasting music yet. <\/p>\n<p>Just the sound of the waves hitting the shore and a few locals taking their morning dip. <\/p>\n<p>I sat on the sand for a while, just looking out at the Bay of Banderas. <\/p>\n<p>The
