While everyone else is sleeping off their late-night tacos, the mountains are just starting to wake up. It is quiet. It is cool. And honestly? It is the most romantic time to be here with your partner. <\/p>\n

When we started our family owned vacation rentals Puerto Vallarta<\/a>, we wanted to share that specific feeling. Most people think of Vallarta and only picture the beach. But for us, the real magic is tucked away in the hills of Old Town.<\/p>\n

There is nothing quite like waking up in a place where the jungle meets the city. You get the best of both worlds. You get the peace of the mountains, but you are still just a short walk away from the best coffee shops in the world.<\/p>\n

In the early morning, the Sierra Madre is alive. You will hear tropical birds calling to each other as the sun starts to peak over the peaks. It is SOOO peaceful. We even have local roosters that might give you a little wake-up call, but that is just part of the authentic local charm!<\/p>\n

We LOVE sitting on the balcony with a hot cup of Mexican coffee. Just listening. Watching the mist roll off the mountains. It is the perfect way to start a slow day with your favorite person.<\/p>\n

Since you are already in the hills, you are halfway there! You can head out early before the heat kicks in. We highly recommend the trail from Boca de Tomatl\u00e1n to Colomitos. It is a moderate hike that winds through the jungle and ends at a tiny, hidden beach.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to stay closer to home, just walking through the winding streets of our neighborhood is an adventure. You will see local vendors setting up for the day and neighbors greeting each other. It feels real. It feels like home.<\/p>\n
