I have spent my whole life right here in Puerto Vallarta, and I can tell you that traveling solo here is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Whether you are coming down for a week of sunshine or you are a puerto vallarta digital nomad<\/strong> looking for a new base, finding the right neighborhood is the most important part of your trip.<\/p>\n

You want to feel safe, you want to be close to the action, but you also want a quiet place where you can actually get some sleep or focus on your work. We see so many solo travelers come through our doors, and they always ask the same thing: "Where should I stay to feel like a local but still meet people?"<\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019ve got the inside scoop for you. Here is my personal guide to the best spots for solo travelers and nomads in our beautiful city.<\/p>\n

The Social Heart: Zona Rom\u00e1ntica (Old Town)<\/h2>\n

If you want to be right in the middle of everything, Zona Rom\u00e1ntica: which we locals also call Old Town: is the place to be. It is easily one of the best neighborhoods to stay in Puerto Vallarta<\/strong> if you love walking out your front door and being steps away from a coffee shop, a taco stand, or a gallery.<\/p>\n

The vibe here is incredibly inclusive and friendly. As a solo traveler, you will never feel alone because the streets are always full of life. You can grab a stool at a local bar or sit at a communal table in a cafe and make friends within minutes. It is the social hub of the city, and the energy is just contagious. <\/p>\n

But, because it is so popular, it can get a little loud. If you are someone who needs absolute silence to work or sleep, you might find the main streets a bit much. That is why I usually suggest staying just on the edge of this area. You get all the benefits of the restaurants and beaches without the 2 AM street noise.<\/p>\n

The Peaceful Oasis: Amapas<\/h2>\n

Now, if you want my personal favorite spot for solo travelers who value peace and safety, it is Amapas. Amapas is like the quiet, sophisticated cousin of Zona Rom\u00e1ntica. It sits just up the hill, so you get these incredible views of the ocean and the mountains, but it is only about a five or ten-minute walk down into the heart of Old Town.<\/p>\n

Amapas has a much more residential, local vibe. It feels like a real neighborhood where people know their neighbors. For a solo traveler, safety is a top priority, and Amapas feels very secure. The streets are lined with beautiful condos and lush jungle greenery. It is the perfect spot if you want to rent apartments in puerto vallarta<\/a> that feel like a private sanctuary.<\/p>\n
