Today I want to share my favorite local walk that takes you from the edge of town into some of the most beautiful, quiet coves you have ever seen. <\/p>\n

If you are a solo traveler or visiting as a couple, this is the perfect way to spend a morning without spending a dime. <\/p>\n

It is easy, gorgeous, and feels like a total escape from the hustle of the city. <\/p>\n

Starting Your Adventure in Amapas<\/h3>\n

I always start my mornings in the Amapas neighborhood because the vibe is so chill. <\/p>\n

Amapas is tucked right between the busy Romantic Zone and the hills of the Sierra Madre. <\/p>\n

To get to the trail, you just walk to the very south end of Playa Los Muertos. <\/p>\n

You will see a big rocky point called El P\u00falpito sticking out into the water. <\/p>\n

There is a set of stone stairs that leads you right over the top of the rocks. <\/p>\n

I LOVE this part because as soon as you reach the top, the view of the bay opens up and you can see all the way to Mismaloya. <\/p>\n

Once you walk down the other side of the stairs, you are on Playa Amapas. <\/p>\n

This beach is much quieter than Los Muertos and is a great spot to just sit and watch the waves for a minute. <\/p>\n

The Path to Conchas Chinas<\/h3>\n

Most people stop at Playa Amapas, but the real magic happens if you keep going south. <\/p>\n

At the far end of the sand, look for a small concrete and rock path that hugs the shoreline. <\/p>\n
