There is a set of stone stairs that leads you up and over the cliff. It is a short walk, but it changes everything. On the other side is Playa Amapas. It is a tiny, beautiful cove.<\/p>\n

This beach is so much quieter than the main strip. There are no loud music speakers or hundreds of umbrellas. It is just the sound of the waves and the jungle. <\/p>\n
I highly recommend bringing a towel and a good book. It is the perfect spot for a "just us" afternoon. There is a small path that winds along the edge of the water. This is the "Rocky Point."<\/p>\n I love this spot during the bright daylight. The water is so blue here. You can see the small fish swimming near the rocks. It is very atmospheric.<\/p>\n It is a great place to stop and take photos. The coastline looks dramatic and wild. It feels like you are far away from the city, even though the Zona Rom\u00e1ntica is right behind you. <\/p>\n We always tell our guests to wear good sandals for this walk. The rocks can be a bit slippery, but the view is SOOO worth it!<\/p>\n Just past the rocky point, you will find the coves of Conchas Chinas. These are like little private swimming pools made by nature. <\/p>\n The water here is often very clear. It is turquoise and beautiful. We love to go snorkeling here. You don\u2019t need a boat or a tour. You just walk in from the sand.<\/p>\n These coves are perfect for a romantic getaway Puerto Vallarta style. You can find a tiny patch of sand between two big rocks and feel like you have the whole ocean to yourself. <\/p>\n It is very intimate and peaceful. You won't find large groups here. The hills are where the real magic happens. <\/p>\n The streets here wind up into the Sierra Madre mountains. They are steep, but they offer the best scenery in the city. Sometimes there is just a single wooden bench under a big tropical tree. <\/p>\n These are the best spots to sit and talk. You can look down at the red tile roofs and the blue ocean.
