We have spent so much time exploring every corner of Puerto Vallarta.
It is truly our favorite place in the world.
There is one thing we look forward to every single day when we are here.
The sunset.
But not just any sunset.
We are talking about a sunset viewed from a table right on the sand at Los Muertos Beach.
If you are traveling as a couple, there is nothing more romantic than this.
We wanted to share our latest experience of finding the perfect beachfront dinner.
It was a night filled with incredible seafood, warm breezes, and colors in the sky that I still can’t get over.
Finding Our Spot on the Sand
We started our evening by walking down from our place in the Romantic Zone.
We love staying in this part of town because everything is so close.
If you are looking for puerto vallarta condo rentals, being near the beach is a game-changer.
We walked past the shops and the galleries, still thinking about our Artistic Evenings: Our Date Night at the Art Walk from a few nights ago.
The energy in Old Town is just unmatched.
As we hit the boardwalk, the air started to cool down just a bit.
The sun was a giant orange ball hanging over the Pacific.
We knew we had to find a table fast.
We decided to head toward El Dorado.
It is one of those places that just feels like classic Puerto Vallarta.
They have tables set up right on the beach.
Your toes are literally in the sand while you eat.
It is SOOO relaxing!

The Perfect Couple’s Atmosphere
There is something about Los Muertos Beach that feels so alive.
Even though it’s a popular spot, it feels private and intimate when you are tucked away at a candlelit table.
We watched other couples walking hand-in-hand along the water.
There were no distractions.
No loud groups.
Just the sound of the waves crashing and the faint music from the restaurant.
We felt so lucky to be there together.
The service was amazing from the moment we sat down.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
We started with a couple of fresh margaritas.
They were crisp and cold.
Exactly what we needed after a day of exploring.
We sat there just taking in the view of the Los Muertos Pier.
The pier looks like a giant sail and it starts to light up with different colors as the sun goes down.
It is such a beautiful sight.
It reminded us of the view we saw during our Twilight Magic: Our Favorite View of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Puerto Vallarta really knows how to do evenings right!
Seafood That Will Blow Your Mind
Now, let’s talk about the food.
We are huge seafood lovers.
When you are this close to the ocean, you know it’s going to be fresh.
We decided to share a few things because we couldn't pick just one dish.
We started with the aguachile verde.
It was spicy, tangy, and so fresh.
Then came the main event.
We ordered the pescado zarandeado.
This is a local specialty, and El Dorado does it perfectly.
It’s a whole fish, grilled with amazing spices.
It was so tender and flavorful.
We also had some coconut shrimp because, honestly, how can you not?
The shrimp were huge and the dipping sauce was incredible.
We were so happy.
Everything tasted like the sea.
We spent the whole meal talking about how much we love the lifestyle here.
For anyone looking to rent apartments puerto vallarta, having access to world-class dining like this every night is a huge perk.
It makes the whole experience feel so special.

The Magic of the Golden Hour
As we ate, the sky turned from orange to pink to a deep purple.
We didn't even want to look at our phones.
We just wanted to watch the sky.
It felt like a painting.
This is the kind of experience that makes rentals in puerto vallarta so popular.
You aren't just staying in a room; you are living in a postcard.
We noticed a few other spots nearby like Mar y Vino and IK Mixology.
They also looked AMAZING.
Mar y Vino has this cool setup where you can sit with your feet in a pool of water while you eat.
We definitely want to try that next time.
But for tonight, the sand between our toes was perfect.
The vibe at Los Muertos is just so authentic.
It’s where the local charm meets great service.
We felt totally taken care of.
The staff didn't rush us at all.
They let us sit and enjoy the twilight long after we finished our food.
Why We Love the Romantic Zone
Walking back to our condo, we felt so full and happy.
The streets of Old Town are so safe and easy to navigate.
We passed by so many beautiful rentals puerto vallarta that we’ve stayed in or looked at before.
Each building has its own character.
Some have beautiful balconies with views of the mountains, while others are right in the thick of the action.
We love the diversity of the architecture.
It’s not just big hotels; it’s a real neighborhood.
If you are a couple looking for a getaway, this is the place to be.
You can find a quiet spot for a romantic dinner and then walk home under the stars.
It is so peaceful.
We even stopped for a quick moment to check our Facebook page to see what other guests were recommending for the weekend.
We love staying connected with the community here.

A Few Tips for Your Beachfront Dinner
If you are planning your own romantic evening, here are a few things we learned.
First, try to get there about 30 minutes before the actual sunset.
This gives you time to get a good table right at the edge of the sand.
Second, don’t be afraid to try the local specialties.
The pescado zarandeado is a must-try!
Third, take your time.
The best part of dining on the beach is the slow pace.
Let the waves relax you.
Let the conversation flow.
It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience.
We also highly recommend exploring different spots along the beach.
Each restaurant has its own little twist on seafood.
But El Dorado will always have a special place in our hearts for its classic feel.

Living the Dream in Puerto Vallarta
Every time we have a night like this, we realize why we do what we do.
We want everyone to experience this magic.
Whether you are here for a week or a month, make sure you treat yourself to a dinner on the sand.
It is the best way to end a day in paradise.
We are already planning our next sunset dinner.
Maybe we will try Mar y Vino next time to see that famous panoramic view.
Or maybe we will just head back to El Dorado because we LOVED it so much.
Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong on Los Muertos Beach.
The combination of fresh seafood and that incredible Pacific sunset is unbeatable.
It’s what Puerto Vallarta is all about.
We are so grateful for these moments.
They remind us to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us.
If you haven't booked your trip yet, what are you waiting for?
The sunsets are waiting for you!
Highly recommended.
