I have been living and working in Puerto Vallarta for years, and let me tell you, there is absolutely NOTHING like waking up to the sun creeping over the Sierra Madre mountains.
As a solo traveler, my mornings are my sacred time. It is when I get to soak in the local vibe before the world wakes up. If you are a solo traveller or a digital nomad looking for that perfect balance of productivity and tropical peace, you have come to the right place.
Our family-run business, The PVGirl, was born from a love for this city. We don’t just rent rooms; we share our home and our favorite local secrets with you.
Every morning here feels like a fresh start. The air is crisp, the jungle is loud with birds, and the coffee is always brewing.
The Magic of the Sierra Madre Sunrise
When you stay in our puerto vallarta apartments, the first thing you’ll notice is the light.
I always suggest waking up just before dawn. Trust me, it is worth it!! I LOVE these sunrises. The way the sky turns from deep indigo to fiery orange over the peaks is simply AMAZING.
I usually grab a bag of local beans from the market and use the coffee maker in my unit. Sitting on the balcony and watching the city slowly wake up is the best way to center myself before I open my laptop.
One of my favorite spots for this is rent apartments in puerto vallarta. It feels private, peaceful, and perfect for a solo stay.

The living room has these massive floor-to-ceiling windows. You can literally see the mountains and the ocean at the same time without even getting off the sofa. It is incredible for those who want to feel connected to nature while staying right in the heart of the action.
Finding Your Working Rhythm
Being a puerto vallarta digital nomad means I need more than a pretty view. I need strong WiFi. I need a setup that feels easy.
We know this life because we live here and host people who work remotely all the time. That’s why our spaces are simple, comfortable, and work-friendly. I’ve spent many mornings at Casa Opportunity, getting work done with the balcony doors open and the breeze rolling in.
It is peaceful. It is quiet. But best of all, I can step into Old Town right after work and feel like the day is still wide open.

My Favorite Local Coffee Hangouts
Sometimes, you just need to get out of the house. Puerto Vallarta has a coffee scene that rivals any big city, but with way more soul.
Since we are local, we avoid the big chains. We want you to support the community just like we do.
El Sofa Cafe is a total gem in Zona Romántica. It’s exactly what it sounds like, super comfy sofas and a vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. It’s perfect for deep work. Plus, the owner’s dog, Habibi, is usually there to say hello!
Another staple is A Page In The Sun. It’s a bookstore and cafe combo that has been around for over 20 years. I love grabbing a latte and browsing the shelves during my lunch break. They use organic beans from the Sierra Madre mountains, so you are literally tasting the landscape you’ve been looking at all morning.

Cooking your own breakfast is also a breeze in our fully equipped kitchens. I love hitting the local markets for fresh fruit and eggs, then coming back to whip up something healthy before the workday starts. It’s these little moments that make you feel like a local, not just a tourist.
The Peace of 5 de Diciembre and Amapas
If you prefer being a bit tucked away from the main tourist drag, you will LOVE our spots in the hills.
If you want another quiet option, puerto vallarta digital nomad gives you space to truly hear yourself think at Casa CC. It is in upper Amapas, surrounded by greenery and classic local architecture.
As a solo traveler, I find the calm here unmatched. You are only five blocks from Los Muertos Beach, but it still feels like a private retreat.
The bedroom in Casa CC even has a dedicated workspace with a view. Imagine taking your Zoom calls with the Pacific Ocean as your background. Your coworkers will be sooo jealous!!

Why Staying Local Matters
We are a family-run business. My brother Jeff and I were born and raised right here in PV.

Afternoon Transitions: From Work to Wander
By the time 2:00 PM rolls around, I usually need to stretch my legs.
One of the best things about our puerto vallarta apartments is the location. Whether you stay at Casa Opportunity or Casa CC, you are a short walk from the cobblestone streets of Old Town.
I highly recommend taking a slow walk down the hill. Don't rush. Look at the vibrant bougainvillea spilling over the walls. Listen to the music from the small shops.

Your Perfect Solo Retreat Awaits
Puerto Vallarta is a city that embraces solo travelers with open arms. It is safe, it is vibrant, and it is full of life.
But to really get the most out of it, you need a home base that feels right. You need a place where the internet is fast, the bed is comfortable, and the views are unforgettable.
We have worked hard to make our properties the gold standard for nomads. We provide everything from filtered drinking water to customized laundry services because we know the little things matter when you are far from home.
No kids. No noisy crowds. Just you, your coffee, and the mountains.
Final Recommendations for the Perfect Morning:
- Wake up early: Catch that sunrise at least once. It will change your life!
- Brew local: Buy your coffee beans from a local roaster. The flavor is unmatched.
- Use the balcony: Don't work at the dining table if you have a view. Soak it in!
- Explore the hills: Take the back streets. You'll find the best murals and the friendliest neighbors.
We would be so honored to host you during your next adventure. Whether you are coming for remote work or a solo reset, we are here to help you feel at home.
